Celebrating National Vegetarian Week

Celebrating National Vegetarian Week

We are encouraging non-veggies, veggies and vegans to join this event, and get involved, all we ask is that you prepare one large vegan dish to put on the table and share with your fellow brethren. We accept that some may be unfamiliar with or unable to prepare vegan food in which case vegetarian is fine, although there are many fantastic vegan recipes on the net (click here for example!). Whatever you decide upon please make a table card stating your name, what the dish is called and whether it’s vegan or vegetarian.

As this is a community event food hygiene will be of utmost importance – as we are unable to take liability, by attending this event, you accept responsibility for your own health and safety, although every effort on our part will be made to ensure that everyone is looked after.

That said, there will be music, laughter and love but we can’t guarantee romance!! Please bring your own blanket or seating, a serving spoon and own utensils. Children welcome. Feel free to bring footballs, hula hoops, kites or other park games. You will be able to opt in or out of a game of rounder’s.

If you think you will attended this event and also use facebook, please join the event here, as to give us an idea on numbers. Many thanks!

For anyone who would like to support this event by making a donation please use the donate tab to the right, no amount is too small and all donations via this link will help to cover costs associated with the picnic, transportation, banners, flyers, biodegradable cups and plates etc. We also have other projects which may be of interest to you.
